Testing Your Microphone, Speakers, and Camera for a Zoom meeting

As an attendee in a meeting, you can turn your microphone on/off and your camera on/off.  You are also able to test whether or not your microphone and camera are working during the meeting or prior to a meeting in a way that does not disturb the meeting or other attendees.    This tutorial will show you how these functions work within a Zoom meeting.

There is also a way of creating a temporary 'test' Zoom meeting room where you can access the Zoom functions even when you don't have a Zoom account.

When you click on the link below, you will be transferred to a PRIVATE Zoom meeting room (with just yourself) so that you can use to test all of your functionality.   The meeting ID that Zoom creates for you is a temporary number that only survives while you are in this meeting room and so will no be usable after you exit.   When you are done making sure everything is working, exit the meeting by clicking on Leave Meeting in the bottom right-hand corner.

You can do this test by clicking on the link at any time and as often as you wish.  It is sometimes a good idea to do this before entering a meeting with other people just to be sure your hardware is working properly.

Watch the video above to see how to do the tests and then click on the link below,
